The Songbird kitchen is designed to be the anchor in the great room space for folks to gather and prepare food together.

We created an island walnut 'table', like a large furniture piece that is functional as well as housing the dishwasher, sink, and beverage cooler.  Natural quartzite countertop is the focal point and helps define the kitchen.  The surrounding simple, white cabinets and stainless steel appliances allow the island to stand out.  Linear LED pendant light and under cabinet lights allow task lighting for the home chef.  The custom cabinetry enabled us to lower (or raise) the cooking side of the kitchen to meet the resident's stature for ease and comfort.
